Swagat is one of my favorite restaurants. I've had lunch there pretty much one a week for years. The food is delicious. The personnel is top-notch, kind, attentive, and never appears rushed or harried. The one thing that rankles me is that, with a phone configured with English as language, when this gem of a restaurant is closed, Google Maps gives a subtitle of "Not too busy". I resent that, because 1) What gives Google Maps the right to evaluate the activity of any establishment ? and 2) I strongly feel that this mistaken attribute does a disservice to the image of a company that is, for me, a pinnacle of Indian and oriental cuisine. Also, as a programmer, I think this is a basic mistake. When any company is closed, Google Maps has only one subtitle to indicate : Closed. Go eat at Swagat. You won't regret it.
I have been eating ar Swagats for at least 10 years. As a family run restaurant the service has always been impeccable in either French or English. There is an extensive choice including an wide and varied choice of milder more aromatic than excessively spicy dishes. There are plenty of vegetarian options. Yesterday we tried a takeaway and it was politely delivered in a very reasonable time allowing for proper care cooking the 5 different dishes and nams. The portions were very generous and everyone's expectations were fully met so another great meal from a great restaurant.
C’est toujours un plaisir de déguster les délicieux plats de notre restaurant indien préféré. Mention spéciale pour les Momo, le Butter Naan et le Lamb Buna qui est vraiment délicieux. Nous commandons le plus souvent à emporter et la qualité est toujours au rendez-vous. La cuisine, riche en épices, est pleine de saveurs et les plats sont généreux et préparés avec soin. Le personnel est toujours gentil, accueillant et sympathique, ce qui fait toute la différence. Une excellente adresse que nous recommandons vivement et chez qui nous commandons toujours avec le même plaisir !
